What is the minimum age for axe throwing?

The minimum age for axe throwing is 11 years.

What do I need to wear for axe throwing?

Participants should wear comfortable clothing, with suitable outdoor footwear such as trainers, walking boots etc. Fancy dress is permitted - we do provide some fun Viking style items for your group to use!

Do we need any axe throwing experience?

No! Full tuition is included. Anyone aged 11yrs and above can take part, all groups are fully supervised. We are fully insured and risk assessed.

What axes do you throw?

During your axe throwing session you will throw a variety of throwing axes, including throwing Mjölnir, traditional throwing Tomahawks, and double-headed throwing axes!

How long is an axe throwing session?

Axe throwing sessions at NPF Bassetts Pole last for one hour.

Can I bring my own axe?

We're afraid you aren't able to use your own axes - we provide high quality axes professionally built for throwing by Raven Forge.

Is everything included?

Everything you need is included - axes, coveralls, targets, and professional instructors who will instruct your group in the art of axe throwing.

Can you do axe throwing alone?

You can certainly do axe throwing alone at weekends! Monday to Friday, we ask for a minimum group size of 2 players.

Can we just turn up on the day?

All activities including axe throwing need to be pre booked, so that we can guarantee availability on the day. Just give us a call on 0121 323 1000 to get booked in, or book online.

Can we take photos and videos of our axe throwing session?

The Valhalla axe throwing range is an excellent spot for photos - we highly recommend taking photos and videos, and our staff will be happy to help on request.

How do I get the axe to stick in the target?

Our instructors will hone your consistency and power, until you're hitting bullseyes in no time!

Are spectators welcome?

Spectators meeting age requirements may be allowed to spectate, but this would depend on our availability on the day.

Can we drink alcohol before axe throwing?

Players will not be able attend axe throwing if they are under the influence of alcohol, and will not be permitted to take part.

Can I book axe throwing with other activities?

Yes! If you book any 2 activities you get £5 off per person. Book any 3, get £10 off per person. Book 4, get £15 off per person, etc!
