NPF BASSETTS POLE – COVID SAFETY MEASURES / PROCEDURES re: COVID POLICY V.2 UPDATE

1a) ALL bookings for activities should be made by telephone. We have disabled our online platform in the short term enabling us to effectively schedule and manage our venue and staff capacity in order to operate activities as safely as possible. Customers must not travel to the venue if they or members of their group/household display symptoms of Covid 19. NPF reserve the right to carry out temperature checks if required.
1b) We encourage all bookings to be paid in full in advance before arrival. Advance reservations and deposits are still in operation to enable you to plan your session. This reduces contact points for payment on the day

2) All participants/players MUST complete an online E-Waiver as part of the booking process. Links are emailed directly to group organisers as part of the booking process. This reduces the need for paper waivers and digital touchpoints on-site. If required then our digital sign-in pads will be cleaned and sanitized after every use

3) We are encouraging groups to book as “bubbles” and wherever possible private sessions will be given. On activities where groups may be participating with others, social distancing & guidelines should be adhered to and instructor guidance followed. Group number limits will be determined by legislation and guidance from governing bodies.

4) Groups will be received directly onto the car park where registration will take place. Groups will be shown to their allocated “pod” or shelter. This pod will be used only by them for the duration of the activities/ session. Any kit & equipment / PPE required by participants will be pre-allocated and issued at this point. Please call us if you have smaller group sizes and we will best advise you on how to book.

In communal areas such as the basecamp and in particular, around toilets guests/participants should follow social distancing guidelines. Face coverings are not compulsory but are encouraged in these areas – please use your own jurisdiction. We are lucky to have lots of open space so please use the space effectively.

5) On open paintball/airsoft skirmish days players will stage/work out of their own vehicles. Vehicles will be parked in sections allowing for effective social distancing between them and their occupants. Players should return to their vehicles in between gameplay so as to comply with social distancing. The basecamp tables will be reserved primarily for those requiring rental kit and for those that will not be in a vehicle and are being dropped off. Player briefing for these events will take place on the field area enabling players to effectively socially distance. No more than 6 players to a staging area where required by legislation.

6) All participants/players will always receive a Full Safety briefing pertinent to their activities and explain safety measures to be followed.

7) Any cleaning / sanitizing items required by customers for their kit ie: paintball goggles will be provided at their allocated shelter/pod and made available on the field if needed

8) Where possible one way systems will be in use to help ensure customers, visitors & staff can remain a minimum of 1+metres apart

9) Hand sanitiser stations have been placed at frequent intervals around the venue and in key “contact” areas such as toilets etc. Customers should ensure they make regular use of these stations. Extra portable toilets have been brought in.

10) Any items of kit & equipment used by the customer will be cleaned & sanitised prior to and after every use eg: paintball markers cleaned and wiped down with anti-viral wipes/spray throughout the activity, goggles cleaned and placed in sealed bags for use, quad helmets cleaned & sanitized and provided with a disposable hygienic helmet liner etc

11) Toilets are provided either with hot water hand washing facilities and hygienic warm air hand dryers or with hand sanitiser stations. Customers should adhere to social distancing guidelines when using the facilities.

12) Additional signage will be placed around the venue encouraging and reminding customers and staff of the need to remember to adhere to safe Covid 19 guidelines and to encourage good hygiene practice

13) Staff will wear appropriate PPE where required and also practice social distancing measures.

14) In the short term we will not be providing/selling hot food from our café area. Customers are encouraged to bring their own food/drinks wherever possible. Bottled drinks and snacks can be purchased in advance for your day.

15) Screens have been put into place in our shop counter/ admin areas for both your safety and that of the staff. Admin and Purchases will be reduced via advance booking, reservation etc

16) Customers should arrive and leave promptly thus enabling us to keep the car park area and movement of people in communal areas clear and to help us meet our capacity limitations.

GENERAL RULES:-

*Maintain social distancing at all times
*Ensure you keep your equipment with you and never touch/use anyone else’s kit
*Practice good hygiene – if you need to cough/clear your throat cover your mouth with your arm/tissue

18/03/2020 Following the most recent statement from the UK Government, we are monitoring the developing Coronavirus situation and would like to reassure everyone that here at NPF Bassetts Pole outdoor adventure park our forest and activities are all OPEN.

The safety and well-being of our customers, staff, and visitors is our priority and we will take all necessary precautions to ensure their continued welfare. We are a venue built on making sure that customers are safe at all times whilst in our care, and that does not change in the face of the COVID-19 virus. Our business is operating as normal and standard terms and conditions on bookings continue to apply.

During your visit, we wish to reassure you that NPF Bassetts Pole is taking all possible steps to minimise the risk of infection, including the implementation of additional, enhanced cleaning procedures for both the equipment and the premises itself. As a leading activity provider with over 30yrs experience in our field, we have ALWAYS maintained kit, equipment and our premises to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety therefore many of these measures are already a part of our daily operations. It is our priority to protect the welfare of our customers and staff wherever possible.

To give you peace of mind with regard to your visit some of our current processes are:

  • All protective headshield goggles once worn are subject to thorough hot jet wash cleaning, fully dried and treated with an anti-viral spray solution. Each customer is issued with their own personal goggle for use during their visit with us.
  • We are also offering an option to purchase brand new goggles at a heavily discounted price for those who may wish to purchase their own set – from £15.
  • Helmets used as part of our quad trekking PPE are thoroughly cleaned with an anti-bacterial solution and sprayed with an anti-viral solution. Each rider is also given a personal hygienic helmet liner to wear.
  • On any activities where gloves are provided, each customer is issued with a pair of hygienic single-use gloves to be worn as liners.
  • All overalls and tactical vests/belts are hot-washed at a commercial laundry after every use.
  • Equipment such as paintball markers, airsoft weapons, laser guns, rifles, bows& arrows, pistols, and axes are regularly cleaned and treated with an anti-viral solution throughout the day.
  • All commonly used devices eg PDQ card terminals, registration ipads, door handles, etc are regularly cleaned.
  • Hand sanitiser is provided at various locations throughout the venue and we urge and encourage ALL customers and visitors to use these stations whilst also following the latest handwashing guidelines from the UK government and health organisations
  • We would like to encourage ALL customers to utilize our online waiver system ahead of arrival in order to help minimise contact with ipads, keyboards, pens etc. An online waiver link is sent to EVERY group organiser at the time of booking.

Remember there are simple steps you can take to help prevent the spread of the virus including:

  • Covering your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • Putting used tissues in the bin immediately
  • Washing your hands with soap and hot water regularly, and using hand sanitiser gel
  • Trying to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
  • Avoiding touching your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.
  • If you are feeling unwell and show any symptoms of the Covid-19 virus then you should follow government /public health guidelines.

It’s very much business as usual here, so we look forward to welcoming you for your adventure in the great outdoors here at NPF Bassetts Pole Adventure Park very soon. Should you have any questions or concerns please contact us on 0121 323 1000 for the latest advice.
